I am honored to take on the role as President for the Tidewater Emergency Nurses Association Chapter. The experience I have gained through my involvement with ENA has prepared me to lead our chapter this year. I have had a great role models, to help me succeed in this role. I have been involved with the Tidewater Chapter for many years, previously serving as secretary. I am employed as the Team Coordinator at Sentara Norfolk General's Emergency Department. I have worked at Norfolk General since 1982 in various roles from LPN to my present position as a Team Coordinator.

At this time, I would like to introduce the rest of the Board of Director’s for the Tidewater Chapter.

Kimberly Harper, RN, BSN, CEN,FNE is your President-Elect. She is currently Director of Emergency Services at Riverside Hospital. She has been involved with Tidewater ENA for the past 5 years. She has been the PEMS representative for the past 4 years.

Terry Morefield, RN has been our Treasurer for the past year and has been elected to continue on with this role for another term. She is currently employed by Bon Secours, Maryview Hospital in Portsmouth, VA.

Janice McKay is our Secretary. She has been involved with the Tidewater Chapter since 1989 and the state council for the past five or six years. She is employed as a flight nurse with Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance in Norfolk. Janice has previously served many positions on the Tidewater board. Currently she is the President of the Virginia ENA State Council.

We have a busy year ahead of us with lots of great opportunities. Tidewater Chapter Meetings will be held the second Tuesday of each month. February's meeting falls on the 14th and I understand that day is precious to many. We can change the meeting to Wednesday the 15th if the majority is interested. We will discuss at
the January meeting. Other dates are March 13, April 24 to accomodate Spring Break, no meeting in May due to SESS, June 12, Sept. 18 due to National in San Diego, Oct 9, Nov 13, and Dec 11.

We have an exciting year ahead of us. Please attend out meetings to keep updated on opportunities ENA can offer you. I am looking forward to meeting you at our meetings. The board is reinstituting our campaign for "bring a member" "recruit a new member" and "attend a state meeting" incentive, info will be discussed at our meeting.
